    Position Overview

    Coordinate and execute timely tendering of freight while managing capacities and on time pick up/delivery with a focus on revenue and expense. This position requires development and maintenance of strong working relationships with manufacturers, buyers, carriers and dispatchers, as well as internal teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Control and allocate carrier resources to pick up and deliver freight in the most cost effective manner while maintaining service expectations.
    • Coordinate execution of deliveries and provide status updates to internal/external partners through a variety of mediums including the Transportation Management System (TMS).
    • Facilitate communication and build strong working relationships among the operations, carriers, customer service, procurement, manufacturers and other ES3 team members.
    • Facilitate carrier conversations to set expectations on service, capacity, communication and rates.
    • Complete manufacturer and lane analysis, with an understanding of the revenue and expense components, providing recommendations for improvement; some negotiation and execution of changes will occur.
    • Maintain data integrity of facilities, update rating and routing lanes, and other administrative tasks as needed.
    • Various carrier related tasks and projects as assigned
    • Attend weekly meetings, participate in conference calls

    Qualifications

    ·         Education (Minimum Needed): High School Diploma or equivalent

    ·         Experience (Minimum Needed): 1 year

     

    • Special Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
