Position Overview

As a Regional Field Training Manager, you will provide guidance and corporate oversight to local training managers/supervisors and facility management on hourly orientation and training programs. Delivers specified management development programs at the warehouse level while providing train-the-trainer support to facility training staffs, including certification, and recertification.


  • Insures implementation of new/updated training programs for hourly warehouse staff in assigned facilities
  • Monitors/audits performance of facility Training Supervisor and facility Trainers.
  • Participates in the design, development, testing and implementation of new training programs for warehouse personnel.
  • Consults with Regional and Facility management teams and training teams regarding best practices and integration of same into warehouse training programs
  • Monitors/audits performance of warehouse trainees
  • Delivers basic leadership/management development programs to appropriate warehouse personnel
  • Conducts train-the-trainer sessions for new warehouse trainers, including certification and re-certification of classroom and floor trainers.
  • Assists in evaluation / selection of trainers / decisions to hire or terminate or re-assign trainers
  • Trains and monitors facility Training Supervisors in the tracking, documenting, and reporting of results of trainer performance.
  • Assist with start-ups as required
  • Mentor new RTM’s as appropriate
  • Participate in delivery of DC management development programs
  • Participate in design and development of new or upgraded training programs


  • BS/BA in related field preferred
  • 4+ years of warehouse experience and 1+ years in supervisory capacity required.
  • 2+ years of Training experience required
  • Understanding of adult learning theory; Instructional design
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations; excellent presentation/facilitation skills; Coaching skills
  • MUST be willing to accommodate at least 60% of regional travel
