Position Overview

As a Customer Operations Lead,  you will build working relationships with our customer’s senior operational management to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction in relation to our operations; development of/adherence to standard operating procedures.  Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of projects and programs in support of business objectives; develop cost efficiencies; and bring key players together to solve problems and eliminate roadblocks.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communications as appropriate to all stakeholders; effectively communicating with customers to resolve issues and to evaluate their requests; prepare and present customer presentations to review project scope and progress.
  • Recommend and implement performance and cost improvement opportunities across the distributor network.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of projects and programs in support of business objectives; bring key players together to solve problems and eliminate roadblocks
  • Proactively manage toward deliverables and deadlines while deflecting or helping to eliminate competing priorities.
  • Visit customers to gather feedback critical in establishing the veracity and impact of issues at store level in order to determine how current C&S procedures affect customer operations.  Manage the relationship between customer operation liaisons and C&S internal customer service and operations to ensure customer satisfaction through adherence to the standard operating procedures and quality standard operating procedures, issue resolution, and delivery performance improvement.
  • Work to improve the stores and district level operations satisfaction by identifying issues that directly impact the customer. Partner with key contacts within C&S operations to determine the scope of the issue, resolution, and then assist in implementation of any procedural changes.
  • Develop and communicate operational forecasts for C&S warehouse and transportation partners; manage customer activities for holiday planning.
  • Develop and manage customer project list
  • Influence customer decision making on key initiatives.
  • Ensure all operational business processes are properly documented and communicated.
  • Act as C&S coordinator with the Customer and internally for all storm-related emergencies (snow, hurricane, etc.). Set expectations, manage store openings and closings, and prevent product loss.
  • Manage order to billing schedules for C&S warehouses, for order management and C&S execution; handle contingencies during failures in all phases.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts degree; courses in Sales and Large Account Management and Communication
  • Progressive roles in warehousing distribution and sales; general management background
  • MO Suite; proficiency in Excel, PP, Distribution Management Systems, Hyperion, Oracle
  • Demonstrated outstanding written and oral communication skills
