Position Overview

As the Senior Sales Planning and Forceasting Adminstrator  you will support the Independent Sales team with all sales-driving initiatives and help the Sales leaders make sound data-driven decisions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Independent Sales Administration and working closely with the Senior Vice Presidents, Vice President(s), Sr. Directors and Directors in the Independent Sales group, the incumbent will leverage trends, our scalability and core competencies to help to drive strategy and data-driven decisions to ensure execution of our sales initiatives. As a Sr Sales Planning Administrator, this position will be a key driver of the department’s sale driving strategic analytics across all categories and retail programs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the Independent Sales Department Sales Administration Functions. The Sr Sales Planning Administrator will monitor sales metrics and oversee the Independent Sales Administration process. Collaborate with various team members and a cross-functional team and should have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment. Suggest and with the guidance and approval of the SVPs of Sales implement improvements in the sales administration process to support the department’s sales initiatives. Coordinate department projects to meet deadline.
  • Administer the Sales Calibration Planning Sessions and Retailer Business Reviews with Sales Directors.
  • customer Centric Strategic initiative. Working with the Sales Directors to develop periodic Retailer Business Reviews and Competitive Analysis, setting up regional planning meetings with Sales Directors/Sales leads to ensure the teams are working on the established sales driving initiatives as well as facilitating an ongoing process
  • of developing and identifying new opportunities.
  • Manage Sales and Overhead Variance and Opportunity Analysis: In addition to coordinating the annual Sales budgeting and OH process, with Finance and Sales, with the support of the team, and liaising with Finance, the Sr Sales Planning Administrator will manage the deep dive analysis behind actual P&L & OH variances and adherence to the department’s goal of expense reduction. Develop insight and reporting to grow sales by department and C&S GL. Show sales opportunities by customer, make recommendations on closing gaps and
  • support the implementation of the identified opportunity.
  • Liaison between AR/Finance/Corporate Development & Customer on issue resolution by assisting with Supply Agreement (existing and new) reviews for existing customer, coordinating contract compliance with the Finance team and working on cross-functional issue resolutions as they arise and organizing team through the administration of meetings/conference calls; directing the team to critical customer issue resolution by being the
  • main contact point.
  • Lead and direct a sales support team: manage and develop a team of sales support staff including organizing and setting objectives, holding regular 1:1 to provide team with feedback and guidance.
  • Impact sales-driving communications across the Independent Sales teams and Other Sales Support
  • functions including but not limited to monitoring and processing participation of C&S trade association and
  • customer outings/events, managing, developing and mentoring summer interns and BA’s performing sales rotation in sales department, etc.

Qualifications

  • Education (Minimum Needed): 4 year Bachelors Degree
  • Experience (Minimum Needed): 3 to 5 years retail and wholesale food experience
  • Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Accounting / Analytical background / Knowledge of the Food Retailer
  • Special Skills: Proficient in Excel. Knowledge of Hyperion, OBIEE, Oracle
  • Results-oriented; strong written and oral communication skills; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; the ability to
  • communicate, influence negotiate and interact with all management levels.
