As Warehouse Supervisor, you will operate in a safe, yet an extremely high paced, fluid environment. At the core, you must have the ability to safely optimize people and technology while ensuring quality in everything we do. You are responsible for the daily oversight of operations of the warehouse employees and to ensure compliance with all company policies.
Our very best Warehouse Supervisors understand the critical metrics of our operation two levels down; no detail goes unmanaged. You understand our technology the way a car mechanic understands an engine. Our highest quality standard is our employees’ safety. It’s not easy, but it is exciting and rewarding.
What Your Day Looks Like
To thrive in this gritty, low-margin business, you must have a natural drive to succeed against all challenges; think like MacGyver with his creative –duct tape and paperclip, “get it done attitude.” You need to fundamentally see challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement. You need to be a “player-coach” because everything that happens in the facility gets done by others. You need strong planning and management process skills, but above all, your teaching and coaching effectiveness will determine your success. You will win if your team wins for you. You must have a genuine interest in your people and their safety.
