As a Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the operations of the distribution center’s garage, as well as a team of skilled mechanics who are accountable for inspecting, maintaining and repairing tractors, trailers, automobiles and light trucks, carts and material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts and pallet jacks). You will also be responsible for ensuring all equipment in working properly.
As the leader, you will develop the operating plan and budget for the garage and are accountable for achieving overall operating results consistent with individual and company performance goals. You are also accountable for accurate and complete records of maintenance and repairs, fuel, tire and parts purchases and inventory management in accordance with company policy, federal, state and local regulations.
Primary responsibility is to ensure Regions meet the company's goal in customer service, equipment utilization, fleet services, profitability and employee/driver satisfaction while effectively managing cost and down-time. The Regional Maintenance Manager will oversee our preventative and general eqiupment maintenance program to our established standards and will provide leadership to each fleet maintenance facility in the field region locations. Key accountability will be management of outside vendor, maintenance providers and dedicated contract maintenance.
